madden 08 game speed

i recently purchased madden 08 and when i try to play the game it wont get out of accelerated speed mode. how do you change the game play speed to normal.|||If you have a multi-core processor then disable one or more of the CPU cores for Madden.
Start the Task Manager
Find mainapp.exe
Right click on it and select "set affinity"
Uncheck all of the CPU cores beyond the first one
