Madden 2008 for PC offline franchise error

After my 3rd season running a team in franchise mode, I went into the offseason and eventually into the draft. When my selection came up in round one, there were NO PLAYERS TO CHOOSE FROM. I cannot make a choice, cannot skip the draft, basically cannot seem to continue my franchise.
Any advice on how to correct this problem? Do I just need to start over? If so, how to I prevent this after a few seasons with my new franchise.

Some one can help you. remeber that there is a HYPHEN in the name Football-freaks.com|||and also JOIN a PC League, they are ALL Madden 08...here are some good starts, NO QUITTERS or WIMPS that cant take a LOSS..
