Can't get online play to work

I tried to play online but for some reason it always tells me I need to get an update. So it tells me to get it on the easports.ea.com site or it says to go back to the main menu and check for updates??? How can i get playing online?|||all you need to do is download the patch that is 'stickied' at the top of this colum, then youll be good to go|||still isn;t working...i have a mac is that the problem?|||if you mean to 'host' ..yes, you cannot host with a Mac...but you can play online, make sure you allow Madden08 in your Firewall exceptions
