After good install, error when trying to play Madden08

Hey all !
The install of Madden08 went without a hitch, but when I click PLAY this box comes up that says
"A required security module cannot be activated. This program cannot be executed (7001)."
Anyone know what this error means and what to do about ?

My rig: Phenom II 550 @3.6 GHz; 4GB (2 x 2GB - dual channel) Gskill DDR3 @ CL9; ATI (Diamond) Radeon 4780 @ stock (750/900)|||ive never seen that error, but my guess would be it has something to do with Vista..if thats what u have
